What I learned from Sean Kelley's lecture:
- Know thyself.
- Sourdough pizza crust is amazing.
- Getting fired from your job can be liberating.
- When you start your own business, you may begin by taking on projects that don’t pay very much…
- …but you can save money on groceries by starting a garden in the lot behind your studio.
- Give clients a system they can expand on and run with.
- Beer = food.
- Know when to let things go.
- Make connections with local businesses/artists and pass their info along.
- Spell-check. More than once.
- Marry someone smart.
- Invest in pencils and keep your sketchbook handy.
